Elephant waza
Founded in 1968, it has an area of 170,000 hectares. It is the most famous of Cameroon and one of the most spectacular in Francophone Africa. Located in the far north, 120 km from Maroua and 135 km of Kousseri, it contains, in addition to the lion, elephants, hyenas, hartebeest, roan and, of Buffon's kob, waterbuck and reeds, gazelles, giraffes, and a large colony of birds: geese, egrets, ostriches, herons, pelicans, jabirus, ibis, etc..
